Legacy SR300

Hi everyone we have purchased a 2015 Legacy SR 300 and we have a question as to the difference between SR 300 and 340. We asked the rep and was told that he didn't know. We cannot find it anywhere on line.

Congratulations on your new Legacy!!!
SR 340 has a 340HP Cummins vs 300HP Cummins. And depending on when yours was built, late 2014/first run 2015s have different features than some of the specs in the current brochure....then you have the 2016s...I have a new post describing those changes!

The 2015 SR300 does not have awning lights, tank heat pads, GPS or the 340 HP engine. I have the 2015 340BH SR300

We have awning lights, tank heat pads, no GPS. Our questions is this, why did that model SR300-340 bunkhouse go from 300 HP to 340 HP. We are having difficulty finding this out from the dealer and Forest River.

I'm guessing they just upped the horse power because 340HP has more power than the 300HP for towing uphill and stuff. I'm sure it's as simple as that.

**update**

I just want to point out that the 340HP is a SR340 340BH not a SR300 340BH.

Ours has the GPS, however I would not fret over that, it is not the greatest. The Magnadyne unit camera screens are fine and all the audio inputs are OK. I'm giving the dealer one more shot right now at getting the GPS to work right, then I am going with a stand alone Garmin or similar unit.

I agree, the differences in the 2 are really no big deal at all. I actually prefer my Garmin. I have a GPS in my Toyota Sienna, I never use it, I use my Garmin..... or sometimes Waze....
