Does the Legacy have avself adjusting air bag suspension, little embarrassed since I own one and don't know. A friend was asking.

The way I understand the system is that it inflates to a certain ride height. The amount of air in the bags would have to vary depending on weight to achieve the programmed ride height. Heavier more air needed lighter than less air needed so I would say it is self adjusting. Not sure what else it would self adjust for.

My friend has a Monaco and he said his suspension adjusts by air as he is driving. He said that if as a truck passes the coach will adjust so he does not feel the push of the passing truck. He also said if there was wind the the suspension adjusts so the coach is not tilted.

I can't say for certain that ours does what your friends Monaco does but the whole idea with a air suspension is a smoother ride and it does counter forces that would cause a coach to lean due to wind or road crown.

Thanks psw757, we are really enjoying the Legacy, we are full time until February and have driven about 4000 miles since we got the coach.

We are just weekend warriors, lots of long weekends and a longer trip or two per year and put about 5k on it since we bought it in January.

I really think Forest River has a good thing going with their Berkshires and Legacy coaches. You get a lot for the money and the quality is there as well. You know you have a reliable coach.

Forest River is really good with warranty work and have made it known to me that they won't leave me stranded should something pop up out of warranty.

Couldn't be happier!
