Electronic Door Lock

What brand of electronic door lock did you buy and install? Was the install straight forward and are you satisfied with the lock? Thanks!

It is the Bauer EM. I bought it from Amazon. Pretty straight forward installation. Had to cut a little square notch on the outside of the door to accommodate the bottom of the latch handle hinge. Also had to thin the inside door panel some. In this photo, you can see the square notch I cut on the outside door panel. Unfortunately I did not take a pic of the area I thinned in the inner panel. If you look above the notch to the inner part of the inside door panel, I thinned some of the wood away from the area in the shadow. I was able to use the existing strike plate so did not have to deal with removing it and installing the new one. Thus far pleased with it, but haven't had it very long. The Bauer EM has pretty good reviews when I Googled it. Click image for larger version

Note the two pins shown in this pic just barely missed hitting the door frame when closing the door. Click image for larger version

I've replaced the door lock on my TT with the Bauer also and REALLY like it. Straightforward removal/installation. Extremely convenient.

BTW, I also ordered mine from Amazon but went with the remanufactured Bauer unit which looked and is operating just like new...but now I see it is currently unavailable at Amazon. Significant savings over new...

Today I installed the Bauer EM electronic lock on our Georgetown. Straight forward installation. Did not have to adjust the opening in any way nor thin the inside of the door. Just luck I guess. It did take a few try's to get the lock to replace the default code with my four digit code. Bought mine from rvupgrades.com
