The alternator on your tow vehicle will keep the keep the batteries charged so that the residential refrigerator, running off of the converter, will continue to run without draining the trailer batteries. We've occasionally had a day of towing, a night with the residential refrigerator running just off the batteries, followed by a second day of towing before we plugged back into shore power, and the fridge kept running and kept everything cold.
