Seatbelt Recall

Has anyone had the seatbelt safety recall done on their Legacy. Parts are still on order for our 2014 Legacy.

Thanks,
Joe

We had it done at the factory during other warranty work right around the time of the initial recall. Sounds silly but it made a huge difference.

We like our seatbelts as they are, and I have no intention of taking our rig to the dealer for anything. During the first year warrantee I took it there a couple times for some simple, trivial work that took forever and I had to redo most of it myself later anyway.

SeatBelts

I am not sure what the issue is with the seat belts, but the place I took it says it is a 2 day extensive process requiring holes be cut into the body. Not sure I want that done but I also don't want to take a chance with seatbelts that will not protect us when needed.

Last month I received reminders from Forest River on the Atwood and Seat Belt recalls. Estimated time for the Atwood recall is 0.50hrs. and for the seat belt one it is 3.50 hrs. Attached is a PDF file that shows the steps of the seat belt repair.

Seat Belts

Thanks for the PDF CRL1. I will make sure I talk to the techs on why they think they need 2 days for this job.

Wow, thanks much for the PDF, a bit more involved than I expected, however, I still think I will leave our alone. Our rig would be at the dealer a month for that at least.
