Yepper you did.

I could not even get my dealer to send me a little section of air conditioning drain hose. FR (Mitch) told me to go through my dealer and FR would warranty several small items I need and would send them to me. Dealer, or someone at the dealer, has not helped since early summer 2015.
Glad you have a dealer that is helpful. Maybe if I had stayed and demanded repairs prior to signing on the dotted line...

Yes, my dealer has been great. He's done everything I asked for -- heat pads, rock guard, heat vent to the water bay, new doors, new locks, piano hinge on the sofa kick panel, fix water heater, align kitchen slide, re-caulk front passenger side exterior compartment, and much much more.

So I spoke with cummins today and basically the labor and computer flash is $500. Which is reasonable.

The total price is $1500 with the remaining $1000 dollars being paid directly to cummins warranty, paperwork processing.

I'm thinking if enough of us call Forest River regarding this we can probably get them to help out with the warranty end of it. I think that is ridiculous, $1000?

Service advisor even admitted the warranty really is no different .

Wow, that is ridiculous. Hook up a laptop and reflash the ECM. I am pretty happy with my 300, no matter what any of us have we always want more power. I pulled several long grades recently and 99% of the time I could not have driven much faster anyway. Think I will just call it good.

Just a thought....
Good idea

I've been happy with the 300 as well pulling my jeep at 4600lbs.

We bought a new f-150 two months ago which weighs in at 4899 with a full tank of gas and I am planning on towing it next season.

I was thinking it would be nice to have a little more power just in case. Probably not needed as 90 percent of our travels are up and down the east coast.
If I can get this to where it costs $500 I will do it.

Talked to someone I have know for quite sometime at the local Ford Dealer truck shop...she has moved up to the regional Freightliner dealer and is the warranty admin. She is going to check with the factory and Cummins about the upgrades...also checking for me to see if my 340 is the max for the transmission...

Let us know what you come up with regarding the warranty and factory.

As for the tranny, I called Allison and the limit is 340hp and 700 torque but the engine would be capable of more if paired to a different tranny.

Forgot to add, the engine from 2013-2015 was capable of 385hp and 860 torque and engine year 2016 was updated to 900 torque, these numbers are with a different tranny.

It is a very capable engine.

PSW...you are correct about the trans...If i want more power I need a larger Trans...but the light weight of the coach is not enough for that investment.
