Truck Wash
Has anyone ever used the Truck Wash services at Blue Beacon? I'm just wondering how they are and if it takes a long time and stuff like that.

Around here they've been dubbed as the "streakin beacon"
We use them for our cranes in the winter months, they seem to do a decent job .

You need to use caution with truck wash services. Many of them use power washers. If they are not used properly, they will lift caulking and decals or unseat widow seals resulting in future leaks. Although they are quick, efficient and low cost, they are too easy to use incorrectly.

We used the blue beacon last fall on the way down to Disney from PA. Coach was filthy from 8 hours of driving in heavy rain. We used the Blue Beacon in Savannah and they had the coach looking great again in 20-30 minutes.

You just want to be sure they know about the places NOT to spray!
Example-- a high pressure jet aimed at the refrigerator outside hatch
could easily insert lots of water INSIDE the unit! Bad news.
Water Heater less so but still a spot to be careful.
Also stove vent comes to mind....
We have washed our trailer in a do it yourself car wash but a motor coach
is too tall for me to reach...

The nice thing with these new coaches are there are less of these areas to worry about with frameless windows, residential fridges etc....
Tankless heater vent is really the only spot I wouldn't blast with high pressure water.

I use our local truck wash and haven't had any issues. The only down side is that the line can sometimes move slowly.

We use the one in haw river nc. They know us now as we live close enough to use them several times a year. We warn them to keep the pressure down and not right up on the trailer. It does leave some streaks but better than not washing. We use the truck wash and then bring it home to wax and if needed buff. Saves us a lot of energy. $30 but as stated, you will sit in line for a very long time (figure 10-20 min per rig in front of you).
