That fits in a drill chuck to move the slides if something (motor/pump) should not work normally.

It is to operate your slide manually when it fails electrically...I will try to find a picture showing operation

Used on smaller slides that use a cable system, often bedroom slides. Use an electric drill. There will be a place to insert the one end inside the trailer. May be hard to get to.

Really? That would have been nice for the tech to explain during PDI! I know where the slide override control panels are located for both slides but he didn't mention needing this for anything during manual retraction or extension.

Wrong mechanism. The Legacy uses the Schwintek system.

I had no idea. We have one as well. I am aware of a procedure to remove the slide motors if there is a major failure but have only seen a short video and not sure if this tool is pertinent to that issue. Here is a link to that video:

I can see some research and/or an email with your picture to FR service to pose the question. I thought someone just left it in the drawer by mistake.

Well since it has Schwintek slides, then attachment could be for hydraulic pump in case motor fails and levelers needs to be retracted???

No, it is for a BAL Acu Slide with cables.

Yes, that was my take on post #8 but it seems the Legacy doesn't have that system????

They are Lippert Schwintek slides and they are both electric on the Legacy, not hydraulic. I just sold my 2013 Tiffin that had 4 slides (2 electric), and I didn't have this "tool" for when the slides failed....and they failed, a lot. I learned real quick about the hydraulic release for those 2 slides and the override control panel for each of the electric slides which is located on the sidewall of a basement bin....never knew I needed a tool and electric drill to manually retract/extend slides. I will watch videos to determine it's use and talk to Mitch at FR. Thanks everyone for the information on the mystery tool!

Let us know if you find out. I originally thought someone had left one of their tools in the coach. I'm calling mine the mystery tool for the moment.
