Did you check the axles for proper drop and angle? Loved the torsion axles on the AS, but the ones from the 70's were prone to issues. Not to hard to replace.

Airstreams are cool and have a cult following. It is very common to rip everything out of them and then give up. All of the surfaces are curved. It makes cabinetry very challenging. My best advice with them is to buy an original or buy one that someone else has redone.

Thank you for documenting your progress!! You are a true old school craftsman. I read all the posts and thoroughly enjoyed examining all the pictures. I am not a young man (71) and this brought back memories of me and my grandfather 60+ years ago iin his furniture repair and making shop where I was your granddaughter. Thank you for that as well.

I hope you enjoy your beautiful trailer for many years.

Sorry, Mr. Dan. I usually check those things but was kind of wrapped up in the memories. You can delete my post if you wish.

A really nice trip down memory lane.

I wish there was a way to contact Butch. Looks like his last activity here was November of 2018. Still it was a good read with great pictures so we could see a lot of how he did what he did.
