Installation of Flat Screen TV in 19ft Re-Issue

For those interested in a more permanent solution of a TV install:

Finding studs that are strong enough and in the right location are a problem in the Re-Issue, so a 2x10 works nicely spanning to a stud near the door and another 9 inches further in.

I used cabinet screws to secure the 2 x10 and lag bolts for the TV mount. I stained the 2 x10 to match the interior- should have used a darker stain.

Nice job!

We have one of the Crosley retro TVs but have found more enjoyment streaming music through the Bluetooth stereo. I think we've only used the TV once...the night we picked it up from the dealer.

Nice idea and the mount looks sturdy, but I don't think I'd trust it bouncing down the road. Good luck. #1347.
