Too bad Warren Buffet did not try one of these out, he might not be so proud of his Shasta CEO after all.

Yeah, I thought about emailing Warren about the same thing. He's never returned my call though. Probably because he still owes me twenty dollars.

Don't tell me he won some kind of award?!

Even minimal praise for the Airflyte debacle would be too much.

You were leaking into the tube? Mine is leaking from the elbow, spilling out to the pavement.

I have a 16' production number 417. Recently had the same issue with fluid leadking from the black water tank in to the long black drain tube that is used to connect to the dump station. Took the trailer to the authorized warranty repair facility (Camping World). Took the drain system apart and "removed excess glue on the black water tank valve". That cured the problem.

Again, to clarify -- our black tank valve is leaky too, but the main leak is from the blank tank out the elbow joint just beneath the bottom of the trailer. It drips straight down the elbow and onto the ground. It's at the dealer now who will have to remove basically every part of the black tank system to suss out the problem. Thanks, Shasta!

leaky black tube

An update:

Our Airflyte has been at the dealer now for a couple weeks. It turns out we have two black water leaks; 1) from the toilet's connection to the black tank and 2) from the black tank into the 90° elbow pipe underneath the trailer. As there is zero room to maneuver and work, the fix involves pulling the black tank and replacing it, so not only is the toilet coming out, but so is the entire wet bath insert!

I used to joke about "rebuilding this trailer a piece at a time," but it's coming true!

Thanks, Mark Lucas!

Douglaslive,
I would check into the second year warranty, i was never told about it either, read about it here on this forum, called FR and explained my situation and they sent me the paperwork and it cost me 150.00. My 5th wheel is at FR in Dallas Oregon getting the front cap replaced due to fading gel coat. well worth my 150 bucks..........I was 2 or 3 months past the 10 days and they did not care.....your mileage may vary, but what do you have to loose.......
