Your VIN number on your paperwork, the frame, or possibly in an inside cabinet should tell this. The tenth and eleventh digits are your year and assembly plant codes. After that is when you run into your series numbers. I am assuming that Shasta is coding them in sequential numbers as they build them. However, I have seen two styles, so they may not have the numbering like between 1 and 1941. Let us know what you read on yours.

It should be like in the pic below:

Build number

My last 6 are 610586, so is this number 586 out of 1961? And does anyone know if this is first or second build?

Thanks

Wouldn't that be 586 out of 1941. I have read where the number of production models is going to be the beginning year of Shasta as a company... 1941.

1961 Shasta Airflyte Reissue

Maybe someone more in the know, can answer your question about the production run. I think usually the 12th or 13th digit of the VIN is a code for that.

It's possible that the 1 is your production run and you have the 586th one of these. But this is a guess somewhat.

586 is probably from the Fall 2014 (first) run. Ours is #407, delivered to the dealer in November.
