'16 274DBH bedroom ceiling tv mount question
My bedroom ceiling has a sticker that says a tv can be mounted there. Has anyone mounted a tv to the ceiling area of the bedroom and if so, what size screws were used? What is the backer made of-plywood/steel?
I have nightmares of using a screw to long and going through the roof!

This is a new one to me. An actual place on the ceiling to mount a TV? Someone at the factory mis-placed the sticker.

The bedroom doors take up the wall space for a mount so I could see that a ceiling mount would make sense to go along with the other hookups that are already up there. This is a mount that I am considering.....

Haven't tried it yet but our Cherokee has a valid sticker on the ceiling of the bedroom as well as one on the wall

I am also wondering about this.
I just traded on our old 1996 fleet wood terry 23ls for a new 2016 grey wolf 26dbh.
I have the same config with cable and power on the ceiling, however there was no sticker on the ceiling. The sales person was not sure and I have not yet reached out to Forrest River.
It's pretty clear that a ceiling mount in needed due to the sliding bedroom doors, but where exactly and what exactly to use are undetermined.

I also just purchased a 2016 DBH. On the walk through I was told to mount the tv on the wall near the outlets not the ceiling. He did state to be careful of the screw length on that wall. I did mount a Samsung 32" on the living area wall where the center entertainment area is. I used a nice swing out mount, but it would be too large for the bedroom. Amazon has some small mounts that tilt side t side and up and down that would work well on the bedroom wall.

Factory just called-they do not sell a ceiling mount and can't recommend any.
The backer in the ceiling is 5/8" plywood....

Left 2 messages with max-q with no return call. There's no mounting hardware included so I don't have a good feeling about ordering one.
I'm now researching the MoRyde version

We haven't put a TV in the bedroom yet, but planned on doing it this winter/spring before next camping season. Please update as you get more info!

I have a 2016 274dbh also. Don’t use the ceiling mount. You can get a standard mount from Lowe’s that will go between your sliding doors. I know it looks tight but it will fit without adding blocks or anything else and will be rock solid with doors still fully functional.
