16bhs wall question

* Hello all. I just purchased a wolf pup 16bhs today and have a quick question. I want to put either a mirror or medicine cabinet in the bathroom. My question is how thick are the walls? I ask so I know what length screws to use so I don't pop out the outside of my new camper.*

And are there any other things you guys can think of that would be easy quality of life improvements? I'm gonna add a paper towel holder by sink also.*

Thanks in advance for the help.

2x wood turned sideways so there is 1-1/2" of cavity between the skins.

Ok thanks. So it's studs with a gap and not solid walls? Meaning I'll have to find the studs to anchor to. Do you know the distance between studs?

I have found the studs to range from 12 to 20" apart, I don't think we are going to find any real consistency. The walls are so thin you can push/tap to feel them in most cases.

Are they strong enough to hold a small medicine cabinet? Or should i just go with a mirror?

They are strong enough. I've had no issues with the medicine cabinet I've hung.

We just purchased a 2017 16bhs as well and I would like to add a medicine cabinet/mirror in the bathroom. Can I simply choose one from my local Menards/Lowe's? Is there a better source for RV furnishings? I appreciate the conversation here about the wall studs - good to know that there is structure to hang the cabinet from!

I've also been looking for a corner mount cabinet, and a mirror for the door. IKEA has a few light weight options.
