18to slide out

My SO and I have had our 18to for just over a month and love it. We have had it out three times (four if you count me being in the truck right now headed out on our next weekend) and we notice the slide out to cause slight side to side instability while set up (jacks down, chalks in, leveled out).

I’m curious if other 18to owners or owners of TTs with slide outs have noticed the same based on the overall weight of the slide out and what they have done. Keep in mind the 18to practically the entire side is a slide out and it’s only on one axel.

That's very intersting. Is the 18TO the one with that has the rear bed slide out the rear? If so, It would not surprise me that the RV feels a bit wobbly, but only if you didn't have stabalizers down or something. If all stabalizers are down and you are level, I don't know what the culprit of your symptom could be.

The 18to has the dinette and the jackknife sofa on the slide out. Being 18 feet of trailer the slide out probably is 10-12ft of the entire left side of the the Tt. We are going to try leveling it a bit more meticulously tonight and see how it goes.

I guess it depends how uncomfortable is it for you. Ive seen slide out supports, never tried them but maybe that helps?

How many turns past where your stabilizers touch ground? Maybe an extra rotation will take more of the play out of the camper. I would say wait a few more months and see if it still bothers you or if you even notice it.

I notice it slightly but it has only been myself camping in it. I have to really move hard to notice it. I'm sure once I get a few others in it, it might be more noticeable. I was thinking about adding Jack's all the way to the rear under the rear bumper and slide out Jack's to make it more solid .

I noticed it also, mostly when the jacks are extended further. I ended up cutting some spacers out of a 4x4 which seems to help some.
