Question 2013 Grey Wolf Schwintek Slideout Gasket

Hi. I have a new 2013 Grey Wolf 28Bh. It has the Schwintek slide system. I've had it out for just one camping trip so far. I've noticed the white rubber gasket around the Slideout opening is torn up a bit where it rubs the Schwintek metal gear/rack mechanism as the slide goes in and out. I'll try to post pics later. Anyone else have this issue? Is it anything to be too concerned about? There seems so be a couple different gaskets, one white and one black. The black one is notched for clearance around the mechanism.

Here is a pic of the damage on the gasket. This happened within the first few times of operating the slide after I took possession of the trailer. Anyone else have this problem? How did you or the dealer handle it? Seems to me if they replace the gasket it might just happen again as there really isn't any clearance between the gasket and the slide mechanism. There is a black gasket behind the white one you can just make out in the pic, so I'm wondering if this is more cosmetic than anything?

I've put the trailer away for winter storage 200 miles from the dealer so I probably won't have them look at it until spring.

I had the same problem on my 2012 Wildwood. Dealer replaced the gasket, but could not explain why. I appeared to me the slide was shifted to one side, but the dealer says there is no adjustment on this type of slide. Three month's later found water was leaking in around the same point. It has been at the dealer for six weeks, and I don't think the found the problem of solution.

I have a '12 28BH and my slide gaskets do not have any tears or even wear marks. Agree with the post to get it to your dealer our get them to your camper now, not in the spring.

Just to close the loop on this thread, my dealer replaced the white slideout "bulb" seals under warranty. The new seals seem to have plenty of clearance to avoid snagging and tearing again and the repair was well done.

While at the dealer my trailer developed a new problem though. The Lippert electric hitch jack seized up. Kudos to the dealer for replacing it while I waited, hope this isn't a sign of problems to come with this jack. I wasn't even able to manually crank the jack. This would have been a big problem if it hadn't happened at the dealer's lot.
