2017 Cherokee Limited 274DBH

I'm supposed to do my pdi for a brand new camper we purchased tomorrow, we haven't signed any paper work besides for the deposit. I wanna know what I should be looking for on these particular models. This is my first camper ever and I imagine most of it is just looking for things that don't look right. Is there anything I should pay particular attention to? Also any recommendations for slide toppers I imagine some companies might be better than others. Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Hi Bedlined,

Congrats on the new trailer! If you haven't done so already, be sure to read some of the relevant threads on this forum. It's a treasure-trove of info.

We just purchased a 274DBH as well. I posted about it here: http://www.forestriverforums.com/forums/f24/buying-our-274dbh-purchase-price-and-observations-127693.html

As for the PDI list, you'll find it within the Library link at the top of the page. It's very useful! Good luck.

I think only Dometic and Carefree make slide toppers. I have Dometic now and Carefree in the past. Never a problem. Not sure if CW did a better job of installing than a different dealer or these remain tighter.

The only advice I can offer outside of the PDI checklist is to make sure your dealer gives you the male side of the TV mount (side that connects to the tv). My dealer didn't, told me I have to pay extra for it. I got in touch with the factory and they shipped me a new one in a few days.
