2017 Grey Wolf 27dbs

Finally got her home on Tuesday and we love her! So we started looking at our near by campgrounds and found out that the World Championship barbecue cookoff sponsored by Jack Daniels was happening this weekend and there is not a campsite to be had.....ANYWHERE! But probably a good thing, need the weekend to transfer from the old camper and get some things set up.

What is the floor plan of your trailer. Never seen the rear slide on that side. Most are double doors with back door leading to bathroom

Sweet set up. I am looking at purchasing the 26DBH here in CA. I also have an F150. It is a 2013 FX4 w/v8. How does your truck handle the trailer weight? What sway control brand and size did you go with? Any other advise before I make the purchase?

Jrad...what part of California you located in. I just bought my trailer in NorCal a few months ago. I did a ton of research up and down the state.
Regarding your tv u should be fine. I have a tundra and pulls the trailer like a dream. 2 important things. Get a good brake controller and an equalizer 4pt sway control weight distribution hitch. Settle for nothing less. Click image for larger version

Congrats on your new trailer! We have a 2015 Grey Wolf 27dbs and love it! The only issue we really have is the so-called 'state-of-the-art' antenna, which is a POS. We get better reception with rabbit ears, honestly. We asked other Grey Wolf owners with this style antenna, and they all say the same, POS, depending on what time of the day you want to watch TV. I don't really care, since the only time I'm really inside is at night, but the DH needs his nightly news shows or to watch the races (outdoors), so he's the one who's always complaining. Aside from that, enjoy your beauty and have fun!

From the picture it looks as if you are squatting a bit. It looks like an EAZ-Lift so I would try one more link. The bars are pointing down a bit so it seems as you can tolerate another link. With a 1/2 ton you may be over the rear axle limit. The bars should be perpendicular to the ground.

I mention this because I have a 264L which is very tongue heavy and your trailer may have a similar balance. Camping world sent me out squatting just like yours so I drove straight to the scales connected and disconnected and discovered I was over hitch limit at 1200lbs, basically very little tension on the bars. You need to do your own verification and not trust the dealer to set you up properly. Once I increased by two chain links (from 3 to 5) I got my hitch weight to about 12% of loaded trailer weight and the bars were level with the ground.

Second door is in the bathroom on the back of the camper.

I just used the cheap Harbor Freight WD hitch which was fine with my old camper (2004 Keystone Hornet Sport 27bh) but it was also about 1300 lbs lighter. I actually never used any sway control with it but after getting home I went a bought 2 friction bars for the new one.....all in all it pulled pretty good but I would say I am probably at my limit, more so for the 5.4 V8, kind of wished I would have waited one more year for the ecoboost.
