2018 Wolf Pup 16BHS water pump issue

Went out on our very first trip this past weekend and ran into an odd issue that I'm looking for feedback on. We camped at a State Park so no water hook ups. Had a full tank of water and everything was working fine with the pump switch in the on position. Then for no reason I could determine the pump stopped working after about 8 hours of being turned on. The pump was only running when water was being used so all good there. Since this happened at bed time I just turned the pump switch off and went to sleep. Next AM turned it back on and it worked again. Then later that night it stopped again. This time I looked at these forums and found a note about the pressure sensor in the pump. After checking all the fuses I figured this was the culprit. Tapped a screwdriver on where I thought the sesnor was and everything started working again... Is the pressure sensor a separate part that can be replaced or do you have to replace the entire pump? Is this a common issue?

These pumps are rebuildable I'm not sure about the pressure switch. Sounds like your rig is brand new I would take it back to the dealer and have him replace the pump.

Thanks for the response, the dealer is a 2.5 hour round trip, so if the pressure sensor was a quick fix I was hoping to avoid the trip... The gas money may cost more than a pump[emoji23]

A trip to the dealer is never convenient no matter the distance. It may be a good time to reach out to Forest River and the pump manufacturer directly. I have found dealing directly with the Manufacture of the product (especially if its still within a year of purchase) to not only be faster but more satisfying when you are able to complete the fix yourself.

Mine did the same thing. Same issue with the dealer being 2 hrs away. Walmart online has the same pump ( 2 year warranty instead of 1) for $70.00. Replaced it in under 10 minutes (instead of hours trying to figure it out only to have it fail on me again) Problem with the 1 year warranty from the mfg is that my trailer was under 1 year, but the pump was 18 months old AND was going to be $15-20 to mail it back. When I finally was near the dealer, I brought the pump in. They switched it for me on the spot. Now I have a working pump and a back up. Sucks spending $70.00 but it was a quick fix.
