Looking to buy

My wife really likes the layout of the 26rl-l. Any known issues with the 2020 models. We live in south Alabama and it gets quite warm in the summer. Thoughts on a second A/C unit?

I have the 2020 Alpha Wolf 26RL-L (build date of 6/19/19). I, too, was impressed with the layout. Mine is only 30 amp service, and there is no ceiling vent in the bedroom (and no framing in the roof to support a 2nd AC), so I won't be exploring the issue any further. I did "hear" that they are now offering 50 amp service and the option of a 2nd AC in the 26RL-L, so that would be great for you if that is the case.

Overall, it's a great trailer - not high end, of course, but it gets the job done. They do skimp on the number of heating vents (1 in main living area and 1 in the end of the bed) and AC vents (bedroom, bathroom, living area), but the fireplace does do a great job of keeping the main living area warm.

The camper tows well, and it has a pretty large pass-through storage area in the front. Good luck with your search!

Sad to say yes it is normal. A good way to do it, no.

Thanks for the reply. They are now making them with 50 amp service and the ability to install a second AC unit. I've read others in the forum complain about the lack of heating vents. Living south Alabama I'm more concerned with cooling.

Hi I too purchased the same year & model travel trailer. I was wondering just today about the vents for the furnace. Question, the 1 you say that’s in the main living area where is it? Is it within the furnace register?

I believe the one in the living area is on the bottom of the kitchen island. How do you like it so far?

So far it’s been ok but I have a few problems with it. I don’t stay in it all the time I’ve got it set up in a park for a quick get away because I have a crazy work schedule. First I DEFINITELY agree with you about the heat!!! Not enough vents. I’ll have to look in a few days at the kitchen island when I go back to it. Second with the slide out of the kitchen dinette & recliners there should of been another design for the awning & mostly the lights outside. The slide out blocks those lights & they should of put addt’l ones on that slide, on the bottom possibly? My bedroom door doesn’t close it’s crooked. They also should of put the bed on a hydraulic thing so when 1 person opens for the storage it would stay up. :-) I HAD a leak with the toilet, something just wasn’t tightened enough, I fixed, after a puddle of water. Then part of my under belly feel out. Luckily I noticed & put back up the best I could.
For the most part it’s a good camper, so far. These things are probably minor & I’ve heard they ALL come with minor complications. The BIG items are working good so far.
Thank you for your response. Stay safe!
Barbara
