I ran the wire under the fridge over to the electric panel. There are 2 or 3 unused fuses towards the bottom so I wired it to one of those. The lights are white but look blue. They are just those cheap strip LED off Amazon and the switch is a motion switch mounted at the bottom. I need to move it up from the bottom because random foot traffic sets it off at night.

Above links to some cheap lights and the switch I used. Just stick them to the rubber frame of the door casing (might have to super glue top and bottom) and then run your wires accordingly. I drilled a small hole between the shelves support and the door face as there is about a half inch space there. I then ran the wire across and pulled into the inverter area. Just be careful if the trailer is plugged in that you don't shock or electrocute yourself inside there. I suggest making sure its unplugged. After that you just have to connect the power and ground. The ground or negative has a bunch of wires on a screw lug. I just removed them, added my ground to the bunch and put them back. Just make sure the wires go back in, the lug is tight and none of the wires pull out. I used a 5 amp fuse as it was the smallest I had but the lights shouldn't pull more than an amp or two.
The glue on those light strips is horrible and none of them stay put. I glued the top and bottom and they work OK. Silicon seems to work the best by just dabbing a little spot across the strip every so often.

Thanks for all the different ideas. I did the sink cover thing, DW loves it. I also did a recessed toilet paper holder. Will probably do some storage lights next. Already have an outdoor light with a long cord to drag around at night time setups.

1. Sink cover Holders (I used Michael4017 mod on the sink cover)
2. LED battery operated light strips in Storage compartments and under bed
3. Ordered 14.5"x14.5" door from FR and cut in so I could get to the Water Heater bypass and water pump. That way I could winterize without being a contortionist to crawl under the bed. (For those with 2017's where they put the Water heater in the front left corner)

Gadgetgeek, I love the bedroom storage compartment mod! That access to the water heater/pump would be perfect - so much better than crawling under the bed and into the corner, lol. Did you order the matching door from your dealer, online, or by calling FR?

I ordered the door through my dealer. Cost was like $40. It is much easier to get to the water heater. Just be careful not to cut anything when you cut in the hole. I had to make sure my jig saw didn't go too deep. Also, the hinge hardware I purchase at Menards. Good Luck.

Window Tint & Window in Entry Door
I wanted to share my next mods. I cut a window into my entry door and also tinted my windows. I installed the AP Products Slim Shade in the entry door and tinted the windows with BDF NA20 Window Film.
Entry Door Window:
1. Cut out template from box
2. Pre-fit template on supplied window frame and realized width was good, but the template was an 1/8" too big for height. So I used the template and shortened it by 1/8". In one of the Amazon reviews the installer had noted the same thing.
3. Decided height placement and placed template on door and traced.
4. Removed Door
5. Placed Tape along the edge of cut to prevent splintering of fiberglass.
6. Cut straight edges with sharp Skil-Saw
7. Cut rounded edges with Saber Saw
8. With the help of another, installed window and glass
9. Re-installed door.
Window Tint:
Pretty easy install since it was a wet solution install. Just like installing screen protector on a cell phone. They recommended cutting 1/2" larger than window and trimming. I found it easier to cut exact and just cut the rounded corners. I couldn't tint the small slider windows because I couldn't find a good way to get the screen off.

That looks great. How did you decide on the tint? There are so many different brands and kinds.

I just browsed their website and liked how they showed the different shades. I ultimately bought through Amazon, but you can buy direct too. Also, I didn't want to go too dark, but wanted to cut down the solar heat. So I went with the 25% option. They have a 5%, if you want it darker. Good Luck, it was much cheaper than professional install, but I also know where the flaws are! My wife only notices them when I point them out.[emoji4]

I’ve seen that many folks put up a backsplash. Looks really nice. Can you tell me if it is tile or the stick on vinyl type? I’d like to do the same. Thanks.

Would like to do the tint. Did you get the bdf na20 window film (dark) or very dark? Those are the two choices I can find. Thanks!

I did the NA20, which I'm pretty sure stands for 20% light transmission. They make an Extra Dark that is NA05, which would only let 5% light through. I didn't want it too dark so I went with the NA20. They may make a NA10, but I can't find it on their website right now. Good luck!
