28BH owners...What is this switch for?

Anyone know what this switch is for? The one my pen is pointing to. The switch on the left is for interior lights but im not sure what the switch on the right is for.

This is our first weekend using the camper...

Im guessing it must be the water heater? I'd really just like to know for sure.

Another fine layout. The inside light switch is outside, to the left next to the "outside" and the outside light switch is "inside", duh.

Good grief! Why in the world can't they label the ALL the switches. Why only some of them? Sheesh! I bet they will be labeled after you find out what they go to!!

Mine is a main switch for the lights in the TT. The other is for the outside light. They must have wired yours different.

Ya im not sure why they dont label things. Im going to have label everything.

I dont think I have a hot water switch as I believe my water heater is gas only. There is no hidden switch on it like some people have to run it in electric mode.

You'd think it would be easier and less expensive to combine all of this stuff onto one panel that runs everything, instead of 4 different looking peices. Well....maybe not since they probably get the faceplates free with the kit.

Anyone changed out to a nice panel?

If it's an older trailer, it might be gas only.

Can anyone else with a 2012 28BH post a pic of theirs? for comparison.. I think Forest River likes to throw in whatever they have laying around at the time.

I think the DSI heater was an option... I could be wrong though

You certainly do have gas only.
These are of one with both 120VAC and gas.

The big round black plastic circle covers the electric heating element and the black switch turns it on an off. The white switch with red light is for the propane ignition system (the red light works like the fridge's check light).

Ya I thought so. Doing some research online and there are a lot of listings for the 28BH with a 6gal turbo water heater, and a lot for a 6gal DSI water heater. One dealership listed the DSI as an option so im guessing that is not an option I got.

The picture of the switch is to light the gas for the water heater. (turn it on and the red light come's on, it click's for a sec. or two, and red light goes out. The gas is lit) On the water heater itself, the black switch on bottom left behind silver tube is for electric.

Oh well...back to manually lighting it like my pop up was. At least I know exactly how to do it! lol

Yep, your water heater is manual light, just like my 26BH and the switches are for certain interior lights and the outside light, but it appears they are wired backwards as in the left switch should be for outside and right switch interior lights. Oh well.

On our Grey Wolf 26BH the Electric DSI water heater was an option and it was $125.00. Dealer asked if we wanted it since we ordered ours and it had to be built. We did get it. Once I figured out how to turn the electric only option on it was nice.
