I have 2 small children and would love to put bunk rails of some sort on the 2 upper bunks in the bunkhouse. Has anyone done this? Would love some ideas. Thanks!
i have a 8 year old and a 6, they fell once each and they havent fell again. also you can open the cube sofa for cushion if they fall. i think after the first fall they will pay attention when sleeping the body learns before it feels nothing under it or near it
I used an IKEA bed rail for years with my son. We started with it pressure fit like it's supposed to be but ultimately had to switch to drilling through the bunk face and installing it "permanently".

All depends on the age, Toddler rails worked for us, cause they were toddlers at the time (3 & 4), though really, it was only the 3 year old's bunk that we used them on. The 4 slept pretty soundly and didn't roll around much.

I work in a busy emergency room and a fall from a bunk can cause serious injury. I have seen it first hand. It is not "babying" your child or being overly cautious. To install a devise to help prevent a fall. Its the same reason we now use car seats. We bought a foam noodle type thingy from amazon it was cheap easy to install and you cut it to size.
