304bs

I'm picking up my 304bs next Tuesday. I'm pulling it home about 85 miles with a F150, 2010 supercrew max tow package, 3.73 gears, 11100 max trailer weight. Trailer weighs 8123 dry 835 lb tounge. 1200/12000 Reese weight distribution hitch. After this is will be parked in a campground. The dealer says I'll be fine any thoughts? I haven't posted a lot on here but I know there is a wealth of knowledge out there.

Just picked up my 2016 304BS last Saturday. Stock 2011 Toyota Tundra Crewmax. No issues at all towing it. Good luck!

That's a lot of trailer for a 1/2 ton. It may pull it but can it stop it?

I am actually amazed that it performs as well as it does. Works like a 3/4 ton easily. Stops excellent. Can even accelerate on an uphill grade pulling that. I know I was over what I should be but we had 5 people 2 dogs a full bed and over 8000lbs behind us with no issues at all. I have an equalizer WD set up. Works great.

Mine pulled well also. Thought it would be much worse, but it really pulled better than the 25rr I had previously. I was all prepared for the white knuckles but it never happened. Very pleased with this camper. 2 outings and no issues.

I won't be that guy that jumps on ya about pulling too much with too little. Just be very careful.

My Titan is rated for 9700 lbs and almost 1000 at the hitch. I would never put more than 6500 lbs dry and 700 at the hitch.... By the time I load the truck and trailer with kids, dogs, toys, food, beverages, sleeping gear.... It adds up.

The only thing I would encourage you to do is go to a certified CAT scale and have the whole thing weighed. Front Axle, Rear Axle, Whole Thing, Trailer Axles. You might be surprised.

I totally agree its better not to push the envelope regarding what you can pull. I have a seasonal site - so 2 trips per year on the TV. I will be traveling with it empty other than sheets, and pillows, blankets and other light items.

Just bought a 304BH a couple of months ago. I pull it with a Ram 1500 (for now). Haven't had any issues. It is stretching its limits, but pulls it fine. Dealer didn't seem worried, noted that 2008 Rams have leaf springs and not coil springs, which were better. Have the weight distribution hitch, sway bar, and electric brake controller. It does squat it a bit, may add a extra spring leaf. This is going to have to work until I can get a 2500..
