The outside temp. really has nothing to do with Condensation. Condensation is created from your evaporator coil. The best way to think about an A/C is as a big dehumidifier. The more humidity inside the trailer the more condensation dripping will occur. It is the exchange between the air coming out of the unit and the return air going into the unit. When it is hot outside and you are in a humid State like Florida in the summer you can make a pretty good flow. Now saying that you should be at full charge. Where the hotter temps come in, that is when you can tell if you are low on freon. First your evap. coil will freeze up and reduce your air flow, also as Ford said a dirty air filter will also cause a freeze up. Reduced air flow. Compressors do not have service ports on them. The only maintenance that you can do is to clean your condenser coil on the roof unit, and keep your filter clean. The condenser coil is where the gas is returned to from the Evap. coil inside. The heat you feel at the air blowing over the condenser coil is the heat being taken out of the trailer with the outside air. The hotter it is inside the less cooling you will have until it catches up. You should start your unit early to try and keep up. That's why if you arrive late in the afternoon on a hot day and the inside is not cooling it has to remove all that heat. As the sun go's down and the temp drops in your unit your cooling will increase. Condensation running off the roof is a good thing. As been said.

Just as a note. When you unhook and your unit gets out of level, wherever the low side is, the water will really run off then. You figure this out the first time you are standing in that spot and you get soaked. I know this somehow.
