Adding more foam to bunks

Anyone know we're I can get some extra foam for the rear bunks on the 274dbh.
Don't really won't to buy memory foam just standard 2" foam.

Overstock.com has so many to choose from and great prices, we put a 4" (with the bumps) and a 2" (flat) in the master (it's like sleeping on a cloud) and 2" (flats) in the bunks for the kids, they are 18, and 15yo and they like it better than there beds at home

We just used the "egg crate" style foam mattress you can get anywhere from walmart up and cut it to fit the bunk beds.

I ordered some from Overstock.com also. Of course they are not the same size as the bunks. So I referred to Google and discovered they are super easy to cut with an electric knife. So I just took a Sharpie to draw my cutting lines and then took out my electrics knife that we use on a turkey and it was so easy! The kids are much happier. I did the same thing for my bed as well. Cutting job on my bed wasn't as good as the kids just because the size was more awkward to handle. But since my bed is always made, the mattress pad and sheets hide my imperfect cut and you can't tell at all.

You can also go to a JoAnn's or Hancock stop if there is one in your area. They are fabric stores if you are not familiar with tmem. You can get coupons on you smart phone for Hancock's, don't know about JoAnn's.

Hancocks is going out of business, JoAnn's foam is too expensive even with a coupon.
Better to order online or buy foam mattress from Walmart or Wayfair or Amazon. Don't buy too stiff a foam (seat cushion foam) or it will be too hard to sleep on even for a child.
If you have narrow bunks, can buy a full size piece and cut in half. If no electric carving knife, use a serrated knife and use it like a saw. If you can support the foam on both sides of the cut, it will cut much easier. You can always buy two egg crates, lay the convuloted sides together to make a thicker foam mattress. Wrap a cheap mattress pad around, then use a fitted knit sheet. Knit sheets are stretchy and will stay in place better than a regular sheet.
