Air flow out air conditioning vents

2005 Cherokee 27L. When I use the air conditioner and have the cold air come out of the base of the unit the air just pours out like crazy. When I switch it to the ceiling vents poor air flow comes out. It is slow and not close in air flow compared to the previous setting coming from the base of the unit. Anyone know a quick and easy way to make sure ther are no partial obstructions in the venting.

Our 2001 21SS is like that. I just think its because the ducted AC has many more vents, I think 7 or so, so its distributed more evenly and also quieter. We camped this passed weekend in CNY with temps near 100F and it was working great. Almost to cold..

mine is the same way. i only have 4 ducts in the ceiling, but the output still seems sub-par. (by the touch of the hand). however, it does its job of keeping me cool!
