Welcome from New Jersey, Are you relying on the sensors that say the tank isn't empty?

Had you used the camper and the black tank this past year and kept the black tank drain valve open while attached to the camp site sewage? I'd do you could have stacking if solids in the tank.

Another common black tank drain issue is the hole saw cut out slug that falls into the tank during manufacturing can become lodged into the drain line.

My tank in my Hathaway is just hard to empty.

I use the geo method and only Scottís rv tissue. Generally we add 3-4 gallons of soapy water from the kitchen sink before making a major deposit in the toilet.

To empty my tank 100% requires I fill it up pretty full. Empty. Add a dedicated line between the clean out inlet to the water source.

Refill the tank 75%. Drain. Usually twice.

Traveling with a partially filled black tank loosens it up.

Sort of a pain, but works.

I would snake it out from the drain pipe in case debris has collected in there. Gonna be gross, but hopefully not too gross since it's such a new trailer, unless you've been using it full time!

Not knowing the actual content of your black tank, I would drain off as much liquid waste that is possible. Then I would add a cup of good ol' fashion RID-X with a few buckets of warm water. Let it sit for about 24-72 hrs to allow the enzymes to go to work digesting the solid waste left in the tank. Then attempt a dump.
