Antenna issues
Camping for the first time on our 26dbh and can't get a single channel on my TV. Anyone else have this issue? Any ideas?

Once your antenna is up make sure that the power for the antenna booster is on. The switch is normally by where the TV plugs in. Remember with digital channels you will have to move the antenna slowly. Look for the direction the other campers have their antenna's pointed and start there then do a channel scan with the TV

I have the omni mount which based on what I am reading might be the issue.

Insure the amplifier is on ( push the small button on the face plate where the coax comes out of the wall to the tv) a green, red or blue light should come on. Turn on TV go to setup and do a channel scan.

Unfortunately I've done that and nothing changes...in radio quality or channel availability

Then check to make sure all of your connectors are:
1. Connected tightly
2. Connected rightly (i.e., the connectors are on the cable ends right)
3. They are all actually connected in series through the splitter and the receptacle
Seems like this comes up a lot from various posters so you are not the only one. We have been in some sites where the reception just sucked. Good luck.

Have the same trailer, that omni antenna is junk. I am looking to upgrade in the near future.

I can't get squat using my antenna either.....I noticed that the round part is a little wobbly and I was going to ask dealer if that is normal.....

I'm shocked at how bad it is...I can't get a single station. Mine wobbles as well. I can't believe they would use these considering how bad they are.

There are many good antenna's on the market that a person can retrofit to the existing hole in the roof.

Provided that there is room below your omni, many have updated to a King Jack directional antenna and used the existing roof penetration, coax and dc power. You will have to drill through the liner and attach the rest of the Jack.

This may not be the case if you have one of the standard knock off batwing antennas ( See attachment) as they only have a small ( <1/2") hole in the roof itself and do not have a hole in the ceiling as they are fixed and do not have a rotating mechanism.

I'm looking at the King Digital HDTV antenna. It's the smaller one that doesn't need to be lifted but rotates 360 degrees. Anyone familiar?

Right. My 335DS has the same problem. Another poster responded that he had replaced the fixed omni with the Jack and used the existing hole, cables, etc. Even FR has dropped the omni in favor of the jack for this model year.

The junk Con CA_2500 fixed omni antenna uses a small hole (<1/2")in the roof only for the coax. There is no hole in the ceiling. The King Jack ( a much better antenna) requires a 2 1/2" hole in the roof and a smaller hole in the ceiling. Position is critical as you do not want to damage AC ducts or wiring in the roof.

Correct. On most installations, the Omni is on center line and the ceiling ducts are left and right of centerline. Of course, the installation of a Jack is not trivial, however, in replacing an Omni it appears to be straightforward.

If anyone does the king jack replacement, let me know how it goes.....video looks pretty straight forward-but no project ever goes like the video(at least for me).

Do you have the Furrow system in your camper? If so try putting it on auxiliary and then see if the channels will program.

This furrion system is not very user friendly......I will have to try that at some point
