Any Cherokee 264L Owners?

I seem to have purchased a low volume model of the Cherokee. I see a bunch of DBH and RK ownerser but not so many Rear Lounge/Rear Living models. We love our floor plan, how about you? Wondering why this floor plan is not so popular.

We spent a full day determining our favorite floor plan then the following day selecting a brand. We loved the big rear window. The rear kitchen model had a big window on the passenger side but why would you want to stare at your neighbors trailer? The RL models allow you to back in to a spot, turn the recliners around and stare at the ocean, lake or river instead of your neighbor.

We liked the Cherokee colors, walk around bed and it was the best price but 300-400 pounds heavier than similar floor plans from other manufacturers. I attribute the extra weight to a full height slide and walk around bed which made it a foot longer. Some of the competitors required you to step up on to the slide platform, this model it flat.

We got our 264L in Dec. and have been in it for two months in Florida. We are really happy with it and have not found anything we would change. We did and the self sticking tiles to the stove area which is very nice. We have had only two minor problems and the dealer has those ordered and is going to fix them this week. We hate to leave the warm weather for the cold north. Love our TT.

264L Cherokee

We felt like we were the lone 264L owners but now know you are out there. We purchased ours in August 2015 and it stayed in one location for a while but now that hunting season is over, we are going to try and take as many weekend trips as we can fit in.
It is just DH and I, so this floor plan is more than adequate. Just bought a gel topper for that hard mattress but have not slept on it yet.
The only thing I would change if I could, would be to add about 12-15 inches of counter space in the kitchen and one more outlet in kitchen for our coffee maker and toaster oven but really those are not that important.
Have you made any changes or customizations?

Hi, we are very happy with our TT. We picked it up in December after purchasing it last July. We will be in a Florida until the end of March. As you said, there are just the two of us so we really like the floor plans. Totally agree about the mattress we also added a topper. I have put a power bar under the window which helped only having one outlet there. I could use a little more counter space but even though I like to cook I am doing fine. We did add self sticking glass tiles from Lowe's to the walls on both sides of the stove. They really look nice. We put a side table between the two chairs with a lamp. This is just the right amount of light to watch tv. We put in a 32 inch tv also. So far we are really happy with the unit. Good to hear you have the same one.

We bought a mattress topper while on our first trip. I slept on the sleeper sofa the first night which is so much more comfortable than I had imagined. We have not made any changes to the inside but I have purchased bed lift struts to install when I get my trailer back from warranty service. I also bought a battery disconnect, it seems the LP Detector and a few other items draw from the battery while parked. We have only been on our shakedown trip then put it in the shop. Can't wait to get out again.

We did another modification today. We took the panel off behind the toilet and roundabouts a lot.of usable space for cleaning supplies, laundry soap etc. Westbound small drawer pulls and attached three to make.it was to remove and a couple of pieces of stick on Velcro to.keep it in place. Like the extra storage.

Hey! Glad to see there is a few of us out here! We love ours and not sure why you don't see more of them. It's me the DW and our 8 month old little boy so the floor plan is perfect and the main reason we purchased this one because of the extra room in the living area for the little one to have his toys and crawl around and still have room to walk around at night with his pack and play set up for bed.

Hi Davis Family, glad you like you like yours as well. I see you are also doing it with a half ton TV, ours handles just fine, the TT seems to have good balance.

Here is my review of this trailer. I am certainly no professional Youtuber but I think the message gets across OK.

Hey Jughrad! Yes, my dodge handles this trailer just fine! I'd love a little more truck fuel economy wise but I have plenty of power and we are never in a rush so we take our time have have zero issues. The only thing I will do here this summer is add airbags to the rear suspension just to help out a little.

My wife and I are thinking of buying this model but the 2017 version with the drop down bunk. Do you guys still like yours? We have been full time for a year in a 20 foot avenger and need some more space.
