bathroom sink vent

We have a 17 Cherokee Limited 274 DBH we got last Aug. We have had several warranty issues, all handled to our satisfaction. And we are very happy with it. I have read much, and learned many things on these forums. Last outing we had a new concern, a foul smell that was from the bathroom sink vent. I always read the different threads on black and gray water tanks and the many ways people deal with them. All good advise, and again I have learned for reading things here. Maybe I have overlooked the vent section. It was an easy and cheap fix, cost was $5.98 plus tax at Lowes. Took me longer to figure what was the cause of the smell than the fix. The plastic vent valve was just a little distorted and allowed it to stay open a little. The replacement vent has a rubber vent valve. Just wondering if any one else has had this concern. I bought an extra one in case the kitchen sink will need replacing.

Had to replace the vent valve on the kitchen sink it had a piece of metal sticking through the rubber that prevented it from opening
