Did my LED reverse lights finally..

I wired into the beakers under the tongue using a 12ga extension cord (to keep the wires protected). Ran the wire along the frame with all the others.

I put the switch under the rear driver side frame rail so I could control when they were one. I thought of hooking to the reverse lights but I'd rather keep the control as they are BRIGHT!

I ran all the lights wires in the frame and inside the rear bumper since I no longer use it for sewer hose storage. Made a very clean install.

Also was tired of the plain walls in the bathroom and kitchen so it was time for some Smart Tiles. Very easy to install. Just clean the area well with Simple Green then alcohol... Then peel and stick. Looks good and easy to cut with a razor.

And the big one... The Eternabond Tape on all the seams, well most. I did the front, rear and side seams. I also did the skylight, fan vent and refrigerator vent. I will eventually do the antenna and vents stacks but they were in great shape so I saved some of the tape for a repair.

Prep was pretty straight forward. Used mineral spirits to clean the Dicor. USE IT SPARINGLY I CAN DAMAGE THE ROOF. It took any grime off without a bit of effort. I used Windex to then clean off any residue.

I tried to keep the pieces in as long as possible but I was not able to do the entire length of the roof in one shot, had to do it in 4ft sections to keep it looking good. I also did the same on the rear seam as it was curved. Get a roller, I used a steel roller, as it helps press the tape into the roof for better bondage. I wrapped all the way over the edge into the gutter to also cover the gutter screws.

Took me about 2 days of lazy work to clean and apply the tape. I have not had any leaks but this is a preemptive strike. This should make sure I NEVER need to do the roof again for the time I own the trailer.

Old Dicor was dirty and starting to fail.

Looks good. How much Eternabond did you have to buy. I Would like to do that with my Alpha roof.

I bought 2 rolls of 4x50. Used all but maybe 10 to 15 feet. 26 or so in length and whatever the width is.

I really like that smart tile. I am getting ready to do my kitchen. Did you take the tile all the way to the door in the kitchen or did you stop it at the edge of the counter? I am trying to decide which will look the best.

I finally built a stove top cover. Used a cutting board previously, but this gives back the entire space.

Why did you use the tape? Did you just get tired of all the Dicor clumping up? I am just curious I am getting ready to do some resealing on my roof!

I did this on my 2013 Crusader in the Kitchen, now upgrading Sink with sprayer and Soap Dispenser I might have to look at doing some sort of tile thing in the bathroom. I wasn't going to do upgrades but Wife said this one will last us a while, the money we save from having a loan or buying another we will be using to go on trips so, I listened to her and we are very happy with our little improvements.

I did it because divorse is needed to be redone every two or so years.. Eternabond will last for the lifetime of my ownership. I will no longer need to worry about pin holes are thin spots, either sealed or it's not.

I assume you have to clean the surface really well but that stuff replaces Dicor Lap Sealant?

Looks like the mineral spirits did a really nice job cleaning the roof sealant. I used acetone when I put Eternabond tape on my previous Roo. It worked well but I don't recall it looking that clean. I just got some Eternabond tape to do my current TT and I'm going to try the Eternaclean spray cleaner this time. I'll be using the 6" wide tape on the front and rear wall seams and the 4" wide tape everywhere else.

For those who have never used it, it works great. Having a little extra left over provides a great repair tool if you ever have a puncture or tear due to tree limbs, etc.

On picture # 20170409_151334 It looks as you have a few folds in the eternabond. What did you do with those?

I tried acetone and it needed a bit of elbow grease.. MS, peeled it all off NO EFFORT. I also washed the roof with the divorce roof cleaner before the job and let it dry. That's why my trailers a bit whiteish.

We As far as the folds. If you are looking at the corners... I ran the eternabond from each respective side to with in a half inch of the edges / corner gimp. I then wrapped from the sides with a 6 or so inch piece. Then over the top, cutting like wrapping a present so it is actually a few layers thick there. While it looks like there could be a void the tape has a thick black colored glue if the backside that fills any of the voids.

And yes, it replaced the lap sealant. I did not remove the old stuff. Just went over it.

I guess you can if you want but would defeat the purpose of the eternabond.
