Cherokee 274dbh Warning/Help

Hi all,
So a quick warning about the 274dbh with outdoor kitchen. The faucet fittings for the indoor sink are above the outdoor mini-fridge. The fittings are too long and are forced to the side by the fridge causing kinks and leaks. I found mine do to low water pressure at the sink. I found that if the valve is turned to the right the fittings do not fit at all- this is how mine was turned. If it is to the left, it almost fits, but is under a great deal of stress. I would not trust these not to leak either way it is turned!

What I am hoping that someone can help me with is a contact at Forest River warranty service. The dealer has been fine, but their suggestion is to take it to the nearest Forest River dealer for service- or contact a traveling repair person, pay out of pocket, and request reimbursement. Both are more of a hassle to me. If I could get a new fixture I am perfectly capable of replacing the fixture without taking it in- that is assuming they send one with properly adjusted fitting lengths. Below are pictures and a video of this poor design.

UPDATE:

My dealer was great and actually removed a facet from another rig and sent it overnight to me. The new faucet, though slightly different, is nearly identical and fine with me in the switch.

The new faucet is about 2" shorter under the counter at the fittings. And- surprise surprise- fits perfectly. No pinched hoses or kinks. Problem solved.

I worked with Pete's RV out of Mass... The dealers in Maine just aren't able to touch their prices. A little over $3,000 less in Mass.

mine is a 2018... though I'm sure they are pretty similar.

If the pressure issue is through the whole camper I would check the aerators at each tap. That solved the issue for me in every spot except the kitchen. The kitchen was due to the kink.

Picking up my unit on Wednesday. This is the first thing I am going to look at during the walk-through.

As they say, If it fits, it ships.

Glad you found problem and a dealer to help you.

so I picked mine up last night and its exactly the same. They documented it for me in case its a problem.

I will likely just take and install a 90 deg fitting and be done with it.
