Cherokee Lite 28A Hitch Ball and Spare Tire

I am a newbie to RV's but just purchased a 2006 Cherokee Lite 28A Travel Trailer and am going to pick it up tomorrow. I do have a couple of questions I hope one of you know the answer to as this will help me to prepare to go get the trailer.

1. What size ball is needed for the Cherokee 28A?

2. What is the lug spacing on the ST205/75R15/C tires so I can get the correct spare. My trailer parts place said there are 4 sizes on 15" tires.

I was told late this afternoon that the ball size for the hitch was 2 & 5/16" if someone can confirm that. Any information on wheel lug spacing pattern would be greatly appreciated.

Yep 2 5/16! we used to have an 05 28A. not sure on the lug spacing.

Thanks Dodge Guy for the confirmation. One other question I will ask for 28A owners, "Where is the manual crank in/out for the slide?" I have looked around the trailer but don't seem to see it.

Could someone tell me the ground to bottom of coupler measurement for a 28" Cherokee Lite. Do not have access to the unit to check myself and am trying to determine the type ball mount I will need. Thank you for any assistance.

I've seen 2 kinds of 2 5/16 balls - a 1" shank and a 1 1/4 shank - be sure you get the larger one. The smaller one isn't strong enough for the weight of your trailer.

Manual over ride postion is under the toe kicks of the slides, I found mine the hard way, but love the trailer....
