Decal Removal on stick and tin

Has anyone removed the decals from a stick and tin camper? We love the colors and most of the decals on our 2007 – 27Q …..except for the Wolf. I’m thinking even if the decals are removed an outline will still be visible.

"goo-gone" works wonders.

to get the sticker off, use a hair dryer and peel it off.

WD-40 will also do it.

I do a lot of this type "sticker" work and I find that goo-gone is usually a little too aggresive for the paint on most trailers. The heat gun and a plastic scraper called "little chizller" seems to work best for me. Little chizller is available at maybe Signs Now or other sign companies. There is also availabe at auto parts stores a "vinyl eraser" wheel or disc that a lot of truckers use. Put it in your drill and "erase" the graphic. For removing the glue left after the vinyl is off, I like charcoal lighter the best. WD-40, cigarette lighter fluid, etc. Work good, but sometimes one will work better than the others. Mostly, you will need a lot of "elbow grease" to complete the job.

Hope this helps and good luck.

On a 2007 I think you are right, the different chemicals or methods as stated above will remove all the goo, but more than likely you will see a difference. The paint under the logo will will have minimal oxidation where the 4 years of exposure to the elements the paint will be faded and oxidated.

You might be able to minimize this by using some buffing compound and keeping it waxed

No matter what you do and or use you will always see some kind of outline etc. Thinks twice about it. As much as you may not like it the end result may be worse
