Is there a satellite outlet outside that I'm not seeing? The cable outlet outside doesn't work with the satellite. With or without the button pushed inside by the TV. Am I missing something?
I'm not sure. While I do have satellite connection and cable connection outside, I still only have one connection inside. This makes no sense to me, maybe they run the sat and cable into one. I have no friggin' idea? Someone here should know
I have a separate cable connection for sat and park CATV - both incoming and at the TVs. --- the sat cable is exclusive to the Directv and the Park cable is for either the roof antenna (push the button for the amplifier to come on) or local cable TV....(not satellite).
I am currently dealing with this in my 274dbh. The best I can tell from my research is the splitter in the box at the tv connection needs to be changed to allow the satellite signal to pass through. If I get this worked out, I will post it up.
There are posts on here that deal with a mod to let you (with outside cable only connector) make a jumper and how to redo the antenna amplifier wiring to be able to hook up sat. without running extra cable.
