Exhaust Fan in bathroom

So glad to have found a community online to answer questions. I haven't found much documentation online about our new 2019 Grey Wolf 26DBH.

On the fan in the bathroom, it has two buttons. One says Fan 1-2-3-4 and the other is fan off. However, it doesn't appear the fan speeds are cycling properly. When I press the button initially, I would assume it would be either speed 4 and then cycle down with each press to speed 3, then 2, then 1. Or it would be the reverse of that (start with 1, then move to 2, 3, and then 4). But the sounds of the motor sounds as if it starts with one speed, then the second press it runs faster, then the third press it runs slower, then the fourth press is back faster again. Any idea exactly how this is supposed to work?

That is odd. I have the same trailer and the exhaust fan has a knob with 0 1 2 3 settings.

That is odd. Can you tell us the make and model of the fan?
Could you post a picture of it?

I bet it's a "MaxxFan Deluxe Roof Vent" It has membrane switches so I'm not sure that wires could be swapped, which was my first thought.

I have the 2 buttons. When the fan is off the 1-2-3-4 button seems to turn it on at the last speed, when it is on it cycles low to high then back to low.

It is working normally.

It 'remembers' the speed at which you turned it off prior.
Meaning, if it is on 3 when you shut it off, it will be on 3 when you turn it back on.
So, once turned on, pressing the button once would be speed 4,(fastest) then 1,(slowest) then 2, then 3, and so on.

As long as it cycles between the 4 speeds by pressing the button, nothing is wrong.

Possibly not the exact control as the OP but the same concept...
