First night in 26DBH, 2 Questions

Me and my 2 kids took my 2018 26DBH on about a 25 mile trip to the Indiana Dunes/ Lake Michigan.

First question is probably not 26DBH specific, but is there any reason, switch, power button that would prevent the microwave from powering on at all? Was planning to microwave quite a bit of food and tomorrow and it’s looking like that won’t be an option as it’s dead as could be.

Secondly, I knew I wasn’t buying a top notch trailer, but this was the first time I drove it. Was particular to make sure all drawers were closed, etc. One of the large drawers under the dinette swung out and now the front door is all ruined and the stove won’t open. It appears the latch on the drawer is defective. Should I presume the dealership will refuse to fix this damage? I’m not sure how good warranties are on travel trailers. I understand it’s getting used and it’ll get scratches, etc. but now the entire front door front is cracked and bashed in.

Thanks for any help!

If it's like the 23dbh there is a switch under the tv mount area that goes back and forth between the fireplace and microwave as it can't run both at the same time.
Not sure about the second issue. Good luck

Switch above the fireplace in the cabinet, flip it to use the microwave. You can either only use the microwave or the fireplace, not both at the same time. Keeps the camper at 30 amps.

There should be a plug in the rear of the cabinet to the right of the microwave. or above it. Did you try to reset the circuit breaker? Also, the switch at the fireplace as stated above. I more would be the GFI if it is in the bathroom. They're not supposed to put the GFI on Microwaves but it has been done.

I have to ask: you were hook up to shore power? for the micro-wave to work.

For the second, they absolutely should warrant that. If they don't, go to the manufacturer.

The other issue that it could be is that the GFCI fuse may be tripped. Check out the fuse box and look for a fuse that is in the middle position. If there is, switch to off to reset it and then flip it on.

Or could be the switch that others above have been mentioning. I don't have a fireplace, just a menopausal wife to keep me warm.

That’s what it was! Thanks so much. I wish they would’ve shown me that at delivery haha.

I have a 27dbs my switch is where the slide/awning switch is when you enter on the left. It’s like a normal house switch

This is so weird... I’ve looked everywhere for it. Mine has a remote. Would that make a difference? This weekend when hooked to 30 I’m going to try both and see what happens.

I have read that whatever is turned on with a remote has to be turned off with the remote.
