Fresh water inlet hose is cracked

Used my 2005 Cherokee 27L camper this past weekend and found that I had a crack in the fresh water intake hose. The hose is white and has a spiral look to it simular to a vacuum cleaner hose. The large crack (tear in skin) is about 6 inches from the fresh water holding tank. At least the damage is outside and under the camper. I wrapped the hose with electrical tape as a temporary fix. Yesterday I called my RV dealer and they said that they could provide the replacement. But it is the whole 6-7 foot replacement part. All I was looking for is just a 1-2 feet section of compatable hose to replace the bad section and something to join the old hose to the new. Will a hardware store, Home Depot, Lowe's or Menards carry the hose I am looking for along with some kind of a coupler?

I was at Lowes looking for fittings the other day and I believe I saw it there by the foot.

Thanks for the rapid response. I'll stop by Lowes today if possible
