Get to know your Cherokee

I posted a 15 minute youtube video edited from our lesson with our tech at Camper World.

Thanks for posting that. I pick up my trailer on Saturday, and they will be doing a 60-90 minute walkthrough as well. Your video helped me think of some things to ask.

I have only watched about the 1st 1/2 of the video, and have already learned some things about the awning. I did not know that you could tighten the screw knob on the upper arms before raising the awning......I have always left those loose, and then using a step stool to get to them in the raised position.

I would be a little reluctant to let the awning slam shut the last couple of feet as the demonstrator did......and that would be more if you weren't as tall as him. I use the awing tool to retract the awning also. As a precaution, I added a 2nd strap to my awning, and use both of those during the retraction process. I read somewhere where a strap broke during the retraction, and the awning slammed against the camper, causing dishes to come out of the cabinets inside.

Great learning video Jan. I hope to review the rest of the video when time allows.
