Grey Wolf 23DBH vs. 26DBH

We keep going back and forth b/t the 23DBH and 26DBH. Other than only 2 1/2 feet in total length difference, the 26DBH has a jack-knife sofa. I just don't know that we would really use the sofa that much b/c of how it's placed. With the huge dinette, double bunks for our two kids, and a private bedroom for us, I wonder if it's worth the added length and price difference ($1100). Anyone have either of these models and have opinions on the differences?

We debated back and forth whether or not to get the 26DBH with the sofa. We got the 26DBH. Trust me, you'll use the sofa.

We have a 26DBH. The sofa is an odd angle if you are trying to watch the TV out there. So I do not use it for watching TV but I'll sit there to read or if my wife is doing something sit there and talk to her. We fold it down at night and one of our dogs likes to lay there!

There is also storage under the sofa that can be accessed from inside under the sofa or an outside opening. Keep that in mind as well.

I ended up going with a 274dbh. It's basically the 26 with a flat floor little bigger slide. I looked at all 3 (23,26,274). Was on same fence on would I use the sofa. YES...YES...YES!! We have used our sofa all 3 trips so far. Make the dinette into bed and pull sofa out. Good areas to watch movies. For us the 23 was $19k, 26 was $20k and we got 274 for $21.5k. Well worth it. Over the length of these loans it's really not much more a month. Click image for larger version

At least the 26

We had the same question last year and decided on the 26DBH and are glad we did so. You will use the sofa one way or another, and as mentioned, the little bit of extra storage is handy.

We had the 26DBH before this one. Sure did use the sofa. Always wished it was bigger, but did use it.

Love extra space

We just bought a 28dbh, love having the extra space, doesn't feel cramped at all. I would say go bigger with the 26.

We had a 23 before trading in on a new one. Only time I wish it had a sofa was when it was raining and DW and I were hanging out inside. The 23 worked great for us before we decided to get a bunkhouse.
