Grey Wolf 26DBH Tongue Weight

Hi, I am curious if anyone has ever measured their loaded tongue weight on a Grey Wolf 26DBH? If you have post your numbers below!

Each persons tongue weight will be different everyone loads differently, keep in mind that the weight given by the MFG does not include the propane bottles or batteries those are dealer supplied items and add to the brochure listed weight.

Thanks for the comments SeaDog! I realize tongue weight will vary and I understand what the tongue weight listed on the trailer means. I am simply starting a discussion to see who has actually weighed the tongue on the 26DBH loaded. I think the discussion will show how much tongue weight can actually vary unit to unit. I also think it’s important for new owners or potential owners to see how much loaded tongue weight can vary from unloaded tongue weight.

Post Weight

Our 2014 26DHH fully loaded, (Group 27 battery, 2 propane tanks full, water tank full, pantry filled with clothes and food for 2 girls, 2 adult closets and over the bed full with 7 days worth of clothes, full refrigerator.) 800 lbs exact. This was measured with a tongue weight scale.

David

TheDave, that seems awfully low. Did you have anything under the master bedroom bed and front storage?

Under Bed

Sure did This trip would have been when we are fully loaded from Chicago to the Adirondacks. We have a dutch oven, fishing gear, empty collapsible water jugs, outdoor mat, 4 folding chairs, aluminum folding table and when it was weighed the Equalizer hitch and bars were in the compartment too. (that is where they are stored when not hooked to the truck.) We have towed like this to Florida, New York, and South Dakota and all around here about 25,000 miles with my truck in my sig below with no issues. Handles like it is not even there and could not be happier. Keep in mind that the water tank when we weighed it was full (40 gallons) but when we travel long distances we normally only fill it 1/3 full until we arrive. I have a CAT weigh sheet but it is in storage at the moment and when I can I will get it out and provide you those numbers as well. This POST shows it connected day one.

David

That’s awesome. I have got to get to the scales. I was anticipating 850-900 loaded ready to go.
