Hide a bed couch-fail!

When we purchased our new "old stock" 2015 Cherokee 254Q last year, one of the key features to us was the fold out double bed couch. We thought it would be great to be able to have lodging for friends and family, but when we deployed the bed there was one glaring problem. The couch is located right behind our entertainment center, in front of that is the master bedroom. When the sofa bed is opened, it makes it impossible for us to leave our bedroom without climbing over the occupants of the sofa bed, because it leaves no room to walk in front of it. The foot end of the bed almost touches the kitchen counter. Don't know why the engineers thought this was a good idea, but we are left with a useless alternate bed....

I took mine out and replaced it with two recliners. The back of it just lifts out so easy to get out of the door. Another thing is you can't get into the bathroom with the slide closed.
