Hitch height on a alpha wolf 26DBHL
We just brought home our new camper. The dealer didn’t adjust the height of my hitch and the camper wasn’t level coming home. I am parked on a slope does anyone know the hitch height on level ground soon can adjust my hitch without having to go to a parking lot?

Is this your first time towing anything? I had to educate myself. "Hitch height" as you call it is not a thing. It's all about the capability of your tow vehicle to carry payload. Many will require a load leveling hitch as well.

No I have and have had many trailers just looking for the tongue height when the trailer is parked level. I should of stopped in a parking lot and measured but didn’t think of it.

Well, you likely know more than I do, but I hadn't heard of using a "hitch height" to determine a hitch set up. Is it just to get a starting point?

I mis spoke not the hitch of the truck, the tongue of the trailer when the camper is parked in a driveway, campground, storage ect. and sitting level front to back. I am asking what the height of the the tongue is where the top of the ball would be when level.
The dealer had the nose dipping down and my truck level.

What kind of hitch system do u have? So for me and I have a 2019 26dbh grey wolf and a blue ox hitch system. If my trailer was low on the front I’d raise the ball height up one hole on the hitch. That should level the tt then I’d adjust the chains to keep the truck level front to back. Right now my tt is level when attached and my front wheel measurement is only 1/4” higher than normal so it’s pretty darn close, close enough for me anyway.

Bae,
I completely understood what you meant and I use this number all the time as a starting point. I don't have the same trailer but my 24js is 21.75"

I have the same TT. I had an issue also with not being level when I brought it home last spring. I took it to a level parking lot and after watching a great u tube video on how to set up the weight distribution hitch, I was able to get it perfect. It involves measuring height of front fender lift when trailer is attached verse Fender height when truck is standing with nothing attached. Dealer was not very helpful but process is not hard to do. Good luck.

Ding, ding, ding...we have a winner! The dealer can be helpful in getting the WD hitch in the ballpark, but ultimately it was up to me to go thru the process of setting up my hitch according to the manufacturer's instructions. I guess it's possible the OP has a lifted suspension that would make his truck sit high compared to the trailer tongue with the trailer sitting level, but he didn't mention that.

I just measured the height when level on level ground. I also got 21-3/4" to top of ball.
