Hot water and the furnace

On our last trip 2 over the Memorial weekend, we had a problem getting hot water.
I'm pretty sure the furnace was not firing to heat the water. I had the heater switch set 'on'.
I know I have a low propane in my remaining tank. Is it possible that the pressure was low enough that the furnace wouldn't fire? I cooked on the burners so I know I have *some* propane left.

If it's not pressure, does anyone have any ideas/advice as to what I can check?

Also, if the consensus is to replace the furnace, where would I get one?

Your furnace doesn't heat your water.
Your water heater heats the water.
Much like your house but about 50 gallons smaller.

Find your hot water heater. Usually on the side with an exhaust vent. Open that panel and see if you have a flame. If not, you'll have to trouble shoot it. There are many components involved so you may be better of taking it somewhere.

Depending on which water heater you have, it could also run on electric. There is a small switch within the water heater's front panel that you have to turn on to have it run on electricity.

Also, check to make sure your water heater is not bypassed. It has to be bypassed during winterizing and then opened again when not.

The water heater requires much more propane pressure than the range burners. Try again with a full tank.
