How is the quality on the Cherokee's?

We are eyeballing a new 2015 CHEROKEE 294BH the price is very good at a whole sale dealer near us. The price actually rival's some other used 2012 campers we have looked at with similar size and features. This leaves me wondering how the quality is and how well they are put together and last. We have been a popup family for 2 years and everyone warned me popups were a gateway camper that led to bigger campers lol. Well we were towing with my Honda Pilot but Hubby just got a 2008 Toyota Tundra with a 5.7 liter V8 and full tow package. With a tow capacity of 10500 this camper with a dry weight of 7500 seems doable. Am I right on that and leaving a decent cushion. Any thoughts though on the quality of these campers would be appreciated. The one we are looking at the asking is $19,000 right now so before I fork out that much (which NADA seems like a super price) I want to know its good quality and worth it. Otherwise I'll look at something a couple years old but better quality. Thanks

MommieMaria, we owned a Cherokee 27 ft TT. I purchased it new in 2000 and just traded for a new Cedar Creek 5th wheel. Our Cherokee did not have any slides or we would probably still own it. Their quality is good. There were only minor problems over the years that were probably brought on by me. As long as you winterize and maintain the roofing material you will get many years of use from the unit. We probably put 15,000 + miles on it over the years. If it has Carlyle tires on it do yourself a favor and replace them sooner than later as they WILL fail.

We own a 254Q and use it at a seasonal site.Have used it now for 3 years and have had zero issues.Only thing i had to do is replace the onboard water pump one spring.I was opening it up after winter and i believe i didnt get all the water out of it.Just wouldnt pump water,no biggie,my bad.Other than that its been perfect. We use it every weekend, with out fail, from April to the end of October. As far as how it would hold up traveling alot.

I own 3 Cherokees (2 Toy haulers TT and 1 TT 30F) and had very few problems. I can't say the same about the Wildwood 26BHSS I own.
