Illinois just bought a Grey Wolf 28BH

I've been browsing the forum a lot and figured i'd join and post. Just bought a 2012 Grey Wolf 28BH two weeks ago. Couldnt really pass up the great deals out there right now. Traded in my Jayco popup for it. Brand new 28BH for $15k....

Any Illinois or midwest people out there?

Blake

Very cool JT. I was a little worried after I bought it I read a ton of complaints and thought "oh great". Im not really worried though as im pretty mechanically inclined. I did check all of the things that people complained about and they seem to work fine..ie the radio not working with Ipod.

Good to hear your enjoying it though.

As for the rest of you.... Where are you frequenting?

Evening star Topeka il, Jim Edgar state park, argyle lake state park. Riverfront park in Havana has about 10 or so hookups great for Oktoberfest weekend when a 2 mile drive home tends to be too much, sometimes the 2 block walk back to the site gets a lil much

Haven't been camping around Havana, but I am lucky enough to have family that live west of Havana, makes for good deer hunting. Have camped north of Astoria at a family lake. Great area central Illinois is.

We bought ours in the spring. We love it! Unfortunately the radio, just because it has a USB port, doesn't support iPod or the like. There ARE ways around that though...
Our biggest disappointment came when we camped when the temp dropped to below freezing. We found out that the door switch (for keyless entry if yours is so equiped) was shorting out and blowing the fuse. Killed lights over bed, over stove/oven/sink... oh... yeah... and the thermostat. No heat except for the nice heated mattress!
Anyway, we're still in the middle of getting this taken care of. Dealer is working well with us, so no complaints... yet.
Hopefully we'll not have any further problems with it when we get it back.
Enjoy!!!

I hear ya! We bought our Grey Wolf in October. Unfortunately, Hurricane Sandy forced us to postpone our maiden voyage :-( Trying to decide where to go this spring and when.

We have a 2013 grey wolf (can't remember exact model @ the moment). Do the stay fairly warm w/heater running?

Shouting out from Cincinnati, OH. 2013 GW 28BH and lovin it. We're full timers and have just braved the 5 degree overnight (-6 w/wind chill). Here's a tip, if you plan on cold weather camping check the crosslines from driver's side over to the kitchen sink. Mine froze last night because the factory forgot to put them behind the insulation on the underbelly. Other than that only two problems worth mentioning, I've had to replace every single light fixture under warranty. The switches were too small and were giving out. The other problem was already mentioned by someone else, the door switch for the step lights shorted against the door frame. I got the files out and some shrink tubing and never another problem with it. Happy camping!
