Does anyone have any suggestions for installing a fold-in-shower rod - have an ibeam on the ceiling now but the wife wants a shower rod installed - tried to drill a test hole where the stud finder indicates a stud but couldn't connect with studs - hate to drill endless holes

I have to drill an exterior wall so I'm hesitant. It's kind of heavy too. I'd prefer a curved traditional rod but have had zero luck in my search.
I hear ya Umptysquat .. I finally talked him into drilling a pinhole in where we thought a stud was but didn't hit it.. is there no-where online to find the stud locations on a camper?
