New Owner of a Grey Wolf 22MKSE

Hello, I decided to join this forum for numerous reasons. Doing a search for a trailer that we are picking up tomorrow 6/2/17 I found out that Im one of only a few that may own one..

We have a dealer here in MN that we are buying a 22MKSE from. It looks a lot like a 22BH, sold in the Western part of the US, but a reverse floor plan. When I was calling on insurance for it State Farm could not locate the model in there data base and said if I can get the VIN it will not be a problem. Well while doing a search I found only 1 other dealer in the US that sells that same model. So I decided to call up Forest River. The customer service agents were stumped as well. Giving them the VIN they said yes that is the correct model, but they have absolutely no information about it. I thought it was odd, that even the manufacture couldnt tell me the weight, or any other specifics, but they did assure me that it was a legit model. Its just very new to them...

So anyways, hello everyone and happy to be a part of this forum. Anyone else own a 22MKSE?

Thought it would be kind of like my 23mk, but in finally finding one on the net, I see that it is a bunk house with a mid kitchen and no slide. Nice set up for a family. Enjoy the upcoming camping season with your new Grey Wolf.

Thank you very much. We are excited can to bring it on our first camping trip of the year in 2 weeks. On the way to pick it up, we stopped at a couple of stores and picked up some things to make the trailer "ours". My wife is excited to decorate it and finally have all that room compared to the pop up we had prior.

I have a 23BD and we love it. Don't get to use it as much as we would like (retirement knocking on the door), but soon we will be traveling to get out of the S. Texas heat.

Can someone tell me why the West and Midwest have different models? You cannot even get my model anymore in the Midwest/East.

So since we booked all of our camping trips while still owning our pop up. I had to check each campground for the site size. Well all but one will be easy to back into. The one in question is our first camping trip of the year which is in 2 weeks. The site size says max trailer length is 26'. Well our trailer length is 25'9". So I called up the campground. I asked them if we will have any problems backing it in. The ranger says..... Welllll, (great this dont sound good) its going to be tight. There are posts on the opposite side of the road and trying to back that length trailer in might be a challenge. He did go onto say, about a week ago someone had a 5th wheel parked in that spot. Im not sure that makes me feel any better considering the pivot point of a 5th wheel compared to our trailer.

I tried to see if they had any larger sites open, but this campground books up very fast and rarely has anything available.

Im pretty good at backing up trailers, but Im seriously worried that its not going to fit. Thoughts??

Use your spotter. Heck, you have three inches to spare. I'm sure you will be fine, take your time, don't worry if you have to pull ahead and try again. Have faith in yourself. If your pretty good, it won't be as hard as you think. Your skill is there, it won't go away. I hope your maiden voyage is most enjoyable. Relax, you got this.

Just figured I would give an update on our first outing. We got it into the site.. It was tight, and I think if it was any longer it wouldn't of fit. It took me 2 tries, and 3 spotters. LOL

It was interesting moving up from our Pop up to this TT. So many new things to figure out and so many modifications I want to do.

I do have one question, my Grey Wolf did not come with the LED lights under the awning and I think it would be a nice to have. Anyone have any idea where they would wire too? I didnt pay attention when we were at the dealership how they were routed.
