Maybe so - I just cannot get over the fact that FR didn't know or didn't take prompt corrective action when this change was made. I mean the guys on the floor that were installing these things should have seen the T-stat on the rear wall and said something.
In thinking about what someone said that these units are probably built for an office/dorm room use, then relocating the T-stat wouldn't make a bit of difference, but that is not the only place they are used.
In addition, the Danby manual says that the T-stat is inside the unit, not on the outside.
I have gotten over this and FR had to pay for the additional materials and labor to install an access door- but it really was something that I was not too happy about when it all started.
